Can bestfriends fall in love?

I do honestly believe that two bestfriends of the opposite sex can fall in love.  I think that when two a boy and a girl are bestfriends that sometimes they don't even realize that they love eachother.  They don't realize it becase they just have so much fun with eachother that they sorta just let it pass over their shoulders. If they do realize it, i think that one of them should make a move to try and ask the other person out or whatever.  If they have somebody else in their life that they might like, and if you dont make a move, you might go through life wondering what couldve been.  By this I mean that yous loved eachother, but yous never tried it out.  In my opinion if you have a bestfriend of the opposite sex and you like them, you should totally take the chance and ask them out or something.  If you dont, you might loose them forever.

What I Think About The Dying Birds

I think it's weird that all of those birds died suddenly like that on New Year's Eve.  Since they tested the air and could find nothing in it, it makes me wonder how they all died so instantly.  I think that there might have been a lot of people setting off fireworks to kick off their new year.  I believe that the birds had to be flying in a big group near where people were setting off fireworks.  I think that the birds got spooked by them, and they all died as result of getting spooked.  This is just my opinion, i dont think anyone is really sure of what happened to all those birds on New Year's Eve in the midwest.

Love

The regular definition for love is, a strong affection for another rising out of kinship or personal ties.  The way love is described in the Corinthians is much more specific and longer than that.  The Corinthians say things like love is patient, and love is kind.  It also talks about how love does not dishonor others and so on.  The Corinthians definition is much longer and much more in depth than the regular definition.

There are many differences between the two definitons.  The major one, I already mentioned, that the Corinthians is much longer that then regular definition.  The Corinthians definition is much more meaningful. I say this because in their definition, they don't just say how its a strong affection like the regular definition does.  They give so many things that is love, like its patient, and that it always trusts, etc.  They also say how love never fails.

I believe that the Corinthians definition is much better than the regular definition.  When, I read the Corinthian definition it makes me think a lot more about love than the regular definition does.  In my opinion  I think that the regular defintion is just short an boring.  Another reason why I believe the Corinthians is better, is because it has a lot of ways to describe love and make love more  understanding to me.

Rules of the Game

My realationship between me and another person can be compared to a roller coaster.  This other person is, or was my best friend at one point.  At first, we didnt really know eachother, so it would be like the roller coaster ride was just beginning.  After we knew eachother for awhile, we became better friends, and hung out a little.  This would be like we were starting to go up a hill on the coaster.  After time, we became really good friends, we would always talk and have fun together.  This would be like we were hitting the top of the coaster.  Some things would happen, and we would fight.  When we would fight, we wouldn't talk to eachother, so that would be like the roller coaster went down hill.  After awhile of not talking, we would eventually become friends again, this would be like the coaster starting to go up the hill again.  But right now with the realationship between me and my friend, it sort of feels like the coaster went down the hill and off the tracks because we just really dont like eachother at all now.  Thats how I would compare my realationship with my friend to a metaphor.  The metaphor being the roller coaster.

My Crush Compared to Checkouts

Once, I had a crush that was sort of like the crush in the story "Checkouts."  I liked a girl, but I wasn't sure if she liked me back.  I would aways see her walking in the hallways at school, and I had a few classes with her.  We never really talked, and I didnt like that.  One day I started to talk to her, and it turned out that she had a crush on me too.  I was so happy to find out that she felt the same way.  This is sort of like the people in checkouts because they never really talked to eachother.  They both liked eachother just like me and this girl did.  The only thing that is different is that we told eachother that we liked eachother.  Thats how a crush in my life compares to the crush in the story "Checkouts."

The Birds

First, ill start off with the L.A. riots of 1992.  This is like an event in the story.  The event it is like is when they are hiding in their houses to hide from the birds so they dont kill them.  When the riots were going on, people were hiding inside of their homes, so they wouldnt get attacked by the people rioting.  That is how the riots relate to the story the birds.

The 70's energy crisis is a little like an event in the story also.  In the story when they started running out of things that they needed, they needed to find them.  So since they couldnt really find anything else, they had to start using smaller amounts of everything.  Well in the 70's when the energy crisis occurred, people could only get gas on a certain day, since they got it on a certain day, they had to be careful not to use it all or theyd have to wait a week for their day again.  Thats how that relates to the story a little bit.

The final thing that I'll relate to the story is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  This is sort of like an event in the story also.  In the time period of Marting Luther King Jr., the black people were mistreated and neglected, so they stood up for themselves.  Well, i think that the birds feel like they are being neglected, so they are standing up for themselves.  Theyre standing up for themselves by attacking the people.  I think that is how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. relates to the story "The Birds."

The Most Dangerous Game

I think that Rainsford did have to kill Zarhoff.  Zarhoff was the hunter in the story.  Rainsford was the huntee, and he killed the hunter.  I think that killing Zarhoff was a good thing to do because Zarhoff won't be able to kill people anymore.  Since he couldnt be the hunter anymore, nobody else would get hunted by another human.  By killing Zarhoff, Rainsford made it much safer for all of the other huntees.

It helps me relate to my understanding of modernism because it is like mortality.  Im sure Zarhoff didn't expect to be killed.  By not knowing he was going to be killed it presents mortality.  It presents this because Zarhoff thought nobody could kill him, but Rainsford did kill him.  This is relating to my understanding of modernism, because a part of modernism is making  people aware of their mortality.  Im sure after getting killed, Zarhoff would've been aware of his mortality.
